Pangbourne Aesthetics' FAQ's

Common Facts & Questions About Aesthetic Treatments

At Pangbourne Aesthetics, we understand that considering an aesthetic treatment can raise numerous questions. Here are some of the most common queries our patients have when deciding on their treatment journey:

Are aesthetic treatments safe?

When performed by a qualified medical professional, aesthetic treatments are generally safe. As an emergency nurse and NMC-registered practitioner, patient safety is always my priority.

Why is a consultation important?

Every patient is unique, and so is every face. What works well for one person may not be right for another. That’s why a thorough consultation is essential before any treatment. It allows us to discuss your concerns, assess your individual anatomy, and set realistic expectations together. This ensures your treatment plan is tailored to you, with results that feel natural and in line with your goals.

Will I still look natural?

Yes. The aim of modern aesthetics is to enhance your natural features, not to change who you are. Treatments are tailored to you, ensuring results are subtle, balanced, and in harmony with your face.

How long do results last?

This varies depending on the treatment. For example, anti-wrinkle injections last around 3–4 months, dermal fillers can last 9–18 months, while treatments such as skin boosters and LED therapy may require regular sessions for best results.

Is there any downtime?

Most treatments have little to no downtime, meaning you can continue with your day straight after. Occasionally, you may experience minor swelling, redness, or bruising, but this usually settles quickly.

Do treatments hurt?

Most procedures involve only minimal discomfort. We use fine needles and can apply numbing cream where needed to keep you comfortable. Many patients are pleasantly surprised at how quick and easy their treatment feels.

When will I see results?

Some treatments, such as dermal fillers, show immediate results. Others, like anti-wrinkle injections, take a few days to work. Skin health treatments (e.g., LED therapy, skin boosters) improve gradually over a series of sessions.

Am I suitable for treatment?

During your consultation, we will discuss your goals, medical history, and suitability. Every treatment plan is bespoke, designed around your needs and safety.
